Where are you located?
I am located in Ewing, NJ, but will travel. Any distance over 20 miles incurs a travel charge per mile, each way, of $.58 per mile.
What kind of gear do you use?
I use a Canon EOS R. My lenses I use are all Canon, as well; a 24-70mm, 85mm, and a 100mm. I have several softboxes for lighting, and various backdrops and props.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Most of the time, no, since sessions are scheduled around the sun. If I have availability and the lighting will still be useable, we can extend the session but you will incur an additional charge, depending on how long you wish to extend.
What if the location has an entrance or photography fee?
Any fees or costs associated with the location are the responsibility of the client. So, if the location you choose has parking, entrance, permit, photography, or any other fees, those fees will be added to your session price. Those must be paid prior to the session.
What if I have more people than the package includes?
For Portrait Packages, it is $25 per additional person/pet. However, if the additional subject is under 6 months of age, there is no additional charge.
When is my payment due?
Payment is due in two parts; the initial deposit to confirm your session and the final payment, which is due one week prior to your session. You’ll receive an email reminder a few days before the due date if your balance hasn’t been paid. Payment plans are also available upon request. All sessions must be paid in full before I begin editing images.
What kind of editing do you do?
I will do basic editing, such as correcting color and exposure. I will brighten eyes and whiten teeth if necessary, as well as removing minor blemishes or bruises. I will not slim a person’s body, I will not change clothing or hair, and I will not change make-up. Please make sure all hair, clothing, and make-up is how you wish it to appear in your final images.
Can I pick my included digitals or do you pick for me?
After your session I will go through the images and pick the best ones, skipping any that may have closed eyes, unflattering expressions, similar images, or ones that just aren't good. I will then edit and upload all the best images to your gallery where you can then choose which ones you want to download. You can always purchase more images, or even the entire gallery, if you love more than are included.
How much do additional digitals cost?
Single Digital Image - $15
Ten Digital Images - $135
Full Digital Gallery - $220
Do I have to print my pictures through you?
The short answer is no. I do offer print services through a company I have been very happy with in the past, but you can choose to print your downloaded images wherever you wish. However, I cannot guarantee the quality of prints not ordered through me, as every service has different printers and images may come out looking different, especially in color and brightness.
When will I receive my pictures?
Most sessions have a turnaround of 2-3 weeks, although during busier times it may be longer. Rush delivery may be available for an additional fee. Delivery will be detailed in your contract.
What if we’re sick on the day of our session?
If it is a minor cold we can continue with the session if you feel up to it. If a small child is feeling unwell, rescheduling would be the better option since sick children rarely feel like cooperating. In the event there is a fever or some other serious illness, sessions can be rescheduled.
